Wayne for Eglinton-Lawrence | Green Party of Canada
Bring back real affordability.
It's time to bring back real affordability, smart green infrastructure, and a stronger local economy. With Wayne, we'll be able to build that community.
For a future bright, we’ll do what’s right.
LOCAL KEY ISSUES WE FACE IN OUR EGLINTON-LAWRENCE.
TOGETHER WE WILL ADDRESS THESE CHALLENGES WITH COMMON SENSE!

UNAFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS AND LIVING ISSUES
"Costs down, jobs up, time to step up."

END THE EGLINTON LRT NIGHTMARE!
"A city that thrives, where everyone drives."

REAL CLIMATE ACTION
"The climate is changing—so why isn’t our leadership?"
$12.78 billion
of taxpayers' money, and
16 years later,
why is the Eglinton LRT
STILL BEING CONSTRUCTED?
And with an additional $1.87 BILLION in federal funding, where did all this time and money go?Why is construction still ongoing? Why is Metrolinx promising a June opening for the FIFTH time? How do we know this isn't just another broken promise?
And what has this incompetence cost us? Unbearable congestion. Construction delays have turned Eglinton into a traffic nightmare—buses are constantly late, cars stuck idling for hours, and businesses suffering from gridlock.
The result? More pollution, more wasted fuel, and worse air quality for all of us.
A city that thrives, where everyone drives.
If elected, I WILL investigate the misconduct and figure out what is happening.
THE Plan
to Making Our
Communities
SAFER.
ELIMINATE ALL CRIME.
Crime is rising, and residents no longer feel safe in their own neighborhoods. Over the past nine years under Trudeau, crime rates have soared, making everyday life more dangerous for families, business owners, and commuters.
The numbers don’t lie.
Violent crime has increased by
30% since 2014,
rising from 1,095 incidents per 100,000 people to
1,427.94 in 2023.
Homicides have SURGED by 53%,
with the rate jumping from 1.5 per 100,000 in 2014 to 2.3 in 2022.
- Residents should not have to fear walking home at night.
- Business owners should not have to worry about break-ins and vandalism.
- Parents should feel safe letting their children play in local parks. If elected, I will COMPLETELY push for:
✅ Stronger enforcement against violent crime and repeat offenders
✅ Increased community policing and local safety initiatives
✅ More funding for crime prevention programs
✅ A crackdown on drug-related crime in public spacesEglinton–Lawrence deserves better. We need real action to restore public safety and protect our community.
In 1990s, a house was just
$196,731
Today, it has nearly
TRIPLED to
$1,111,944.
That is a 205% INCREASE.
With the total federal funding allocated to housing over the past TWO DECADES is approximately $200 BILLION.Over the past few decades, Toronto's housing market has seen a dramatic increase in prices, making it increasingly difficult for residents to afford homes.
In the early 1990s, the average home price in Toronto was approximately $196,731,
which, when adjusted for inflation, equates to about
$364,494.
in today's dollars. In stark contrast, the average price of a home in Toronto in 2024 has soared to
$1,111,944.
This represents a nearly
205% INCREASE
in real terms over the past three decades.
This significant rise in housing costs has far outpaced income growth, leading to affordability challenges for many Torontonians.
It's time to change the unaffordable to affordable.
Costs down, jobs up, time to step up.
If elected, I WILL lower the prices of homes and figure out what went wrong in the parliament all these YEARS.
...and these are many of the examples I will fight to solve.
